From what I can tell the SCMS staff is MIA. Maybe there's a reason for it, but this is very unusual I think.

I thought selecting "FTP" would automatically switch to FTPS for Explicit SSL/TLS, but now it is just saying it could not log in the server. I have updated my credentials several times and I cannot connect. Are there other steps that need to be taken to connect to FTPS server?

Yep, I was able to access it now, thanks.
Hmm. Only showing web safe colors, huh?
Although I see you can type your favorite hex value in the box...
Still think you could make a fluid color picker, and then a "web safe" panel :)

Hello all,

I forgot if SimpleCMS was able to do inline colors, and I didn't see it in my current tool set, so I went to Account->My Account and when I click on update rich text editor options it complains about my email address?

"This email address is already in use, please enter another."

I am the admin of this account :/
I also have no interest in changing my email address.

That sounds good. I'd fear users wouldn't use alt tags making invalid code, but I bet SCMS could have "image" as default.

I agree -- I see no answer to the specific question asked (without resorting to the code editor)

Hopefully this new version of Simple CMS (announced last year) will come out soon :P

edit: Hi Scott :P

Worked splendidly, thanks!
Might want to edit some posts to document this (or release the new version ;) haha)

I could not get this to work on my site. I change the class to edit-repeat as per Simon's example and it removed the editing functionality completely. So I went to define areas again and retagged the area and it results in this:

(Removed non-relevant content from tags)

            <div class="edit-repeat cushycms" id="n0">

                <div class="content_left">
                    <div class="pic">
                        <a><img /></a>
                    </div>
                </div>

                <div class="content_right">

                    <h1></h1>

                    <p></p>

                </div>

            </div>

I can edit it again, but still cannot repeat the region (do not see the +/- icons.

I realize this is an older thread (albeit there aren't many other threads) but I also am expecting this in this "update" coming out ;)
It'd be especially great it the CSS options we had specified, had drop-down options/ranges for clients (to avoid breaking)

I'm a bit confused now, this upcoming version, is an update or a separate product?

It sounds great but I also am a bit disappointed with the failure to release on the loosely decided release date(s).

I do realize that doesn't mean you guys have been working on it but we sure are getting anxious now :)

Alright great. When you do please allow support for going up parent directories via "../" please.

Oh. I wish you had told me that before. :/

I have two clients using the system but the reserved subdomain is tailored for one of them :/

So it seems like one client is using the other clients system to update their site. This has me upset cause I really was convinced that I'd be able to brand each installment of the system uniquely :(

I'm really waiting for that version you can install on your own server :)

I'm also interested in relative images paths, could you email me too?

Hi, I keep having to log into a different user account I made with different rich-text permissions enabled like font format, code, etc. and it doesn't make sense to me why (or maybe you can?) you cannot decide for the designer account which features he uses. I think at least all of them should be available instead of limiting the features to less than the regular users have. Does this make sense?

Hi, actually when I upgraded my account for branding, I was under the impression that we could have different branding for each different site we have. I tried and maybe I just didn't succeed, but it appears that is not the case.

It would be great to be able to "really" brand each CMS so that so that the end-user (client) can be "sold" a truly  custom CMS -- like your site strongly advertises ("Sell it as your own") but I can't really brand the CMS as supercoolpuppiesCMS for a client and use it again for my seriousfacefirmCMS client, hypothetically.

Hi, I'm posting this problem with memory so there honestly may be some specifics on the exact details, but there's enough to investigate:

I had a user (for myself) that had access to two sites, then wanted to test exclusive access to only one site so I tried the "assign sites" page to unassign pages by unchecking the box next to the site name, but it seemed to keep letting it return when I accepted the changes -- the user still had rights after logging out/logging back in...

I figured maybe the UI was just not so good and I had to use the "restrict" pages form to hide the pages from the user -- rights were removed as expected, but still the site was visible if the user activated the top-right drop-down menu on their editing page...

I had to remove the user and add him again with only rights to one site and not the other and it successfully hid it from the new user. The only reason this is a problem is I don't feel too comfortable with the risk that my clients can may be able to see (even if they can't edit it) my personal site if it doesn't pertain to them.

I am rushing to post this and am not even looking at the problem right now so I realize I may have left out or poorly described some details... I apologize for that.

Any way to disable the automatic adding of "cms-" to the PDF uploads? My site has a fair amount of PDF's and the prefix looks weird.

Hi, I am working with a client using Just Host to host their site, which stores their HTML files in a separate directory than the root directory (/www/index.html) With Cushy CMS this wasn't a problem, I just had to specify the upload path. I have an upgraded account here with Simple CMS, which I like, but I do not see how to specify the upload path to manage my new client's site! Help!

Edit:Should I make an XML sitemap to list the HTML files within those alternate root directories?
