Hi,

Is version control in the works by any chance? I would love the ability to be able to reverse an action the client made etc...

Thanks,
Ryan

Hi Ryan, I've just updated the system. For each repeatable area that you don't want the whole content to be editable simply add this class:
no-repeat-edit

For example:

<div class="edit-repeat no-repeat-edit">
     // editable area 1
     // editable area 2
</div>

I hope that helps, let us know if you have any questions or problems.

Thanks Simon, Fantastic support!

Hi,

I would like to make a div within a repeatable region un-editable. Basically, I want the client to be able to duplicate the whole region, but not be able to edit everything within it as it would cause issues with the layout.

Is this possible?

Ryan

I also would like to throw out that this would be a nice feature to have. :)

It's one site, one license. Once you've installed it, that's it, it just works. Any ideas now?

Ps. It's not going to be that pricey ;)

Okay, well based on that pricing model and the monthly price I pay for simpleCMS now... I would say in order for me to use that, it would have to be around $25-30 a license. Although I have seen them considerably higher priced, at that value it may be a viable option to switch to. Although I think I would still prefer this setup as I can simplify managing all my clients sites with one login... are there any new features/etc?

It's being worked on and tested to within an inch of its life :)

Incidentally, can you guys tell us (honestly!) how much you would consider paying for something like this product?

It's essentially a downloadable, yours for life, simpler and much faster version of SimpleCMS

I think that question would depend on how it works with multiple sites? Would it be a 'license' based? If so, I have seen those get awfully pricey and they aren't worth my time.

Hi Simon,

So can you go into a little more detail what I can actually do with this?

Hi,

So if I wanted to add a little more 'look' to a photo gallery, what would be the easiest way so it could still work with your new gallery feature? I am basically looking to just add some border or something to make it look a little more like a photo - as it stands currently, it is so plain.

Thanks
Ryan

Hi Simon - so I was able to get this working on my website, but how secure is it doing this method?

The end of 2011 has come and gone!! Is there any updates on this and the other 'end of the year release' you were talking about?
