Stretch page to fit content.

We are using a content place holder and master frame for our clients' websites and are having issues getting the page height to stretch as more content is added. The content frame is set to expand and does expand when used outside of Simple CMS, however it does not expand when content is added in the defined editable area in Simple CMS.
Can you advise a solution?
