Topic: Restrict pages - all pages button

Congrats on the xml site map feature, which works really well. Is it possible to add a feature to the Restrict pages page so that I can make all the pages restricted and then select which ones a user can edit; with a site with  several hundred pages where each user only needs access to five or six files, you end up having to restrict a lot of pages individually.

Thanks.

Re: Restrict pages - all pages button

We have taken a different approach to this than our competition... we found that most simple sites using the system had very few pages and usually wanted the default to be that they were all editable minus a select few. Of course, if there are no editable areas on a page, then the client will not be able to edit the page anyway.

For your situation, the best thing would be to create a separate XML sitemap called cms-sitemap.xml or similar and link to that instead. This separate sitemap would only contain the few pages you want your client to be able to see in the system.

Edit: new feature - you can now click a button on this page to restrict or un-restrict all pages at once:

Restrict all pages

Yes, I get your point about the simplified xml - that makes a lot of sense.

Thanks for the suggestion, Gavin.
