Necessity is the mother of invention

Had enough of emails from clients saying...

"We need our website updating. John has left and Judy has replaced him and this telephone number should have an extra 0 in it." ... then, for fear of upsetting them, not invoicing them for such a small change? But at the same time not wanting to build a content management system worthy of doing much more than simple changes?

Well, those days are over. Simple CMS empowers your clients , and frees up your time to do what you do best; designing and building great websites.

Whether you are about to build the site or you've already built it, just add this tiny bit of code
<!-- start edit --> before the content, and <!-- end edit --> at the end. It's that easy - and we made it that easy because that's how life should be. But it hasn't always been so easy: Simple CMS was borne out of pure frustration. If you have the time to read about it, here's the back-story (every good solution has a story behind it).

A freelance graphic designer, with no knowledge of anything much more technical than standard HTML (read HTML as 'Dreamweaver') was asked to build a website for his client - and they wanted to be able to edit their content easily. Having never done anything like this before he decided to Google for something that could do the job easily and quickly. Two weeks later, after installing and subsequently uninstalling very comprehensive (but complicated) content management systems like Joomla and Drupal, he was at a loss of what to do.

Should he just create a blog with Wordpress and call it a site? Not possible - even 'posts' were too complicated for this particular client, and it didn't look exactly as this perfectionist wanted it to. No, this client wanted to edit their content by simply going to their website and using "Word-like" icons to make things change. Nothing like this existed. This designer just wanted to give up.

So that's what he did. He quit his job as a designer, found himself an amazing developer and together spent the next half a year creating the holy grail of simple content management systems.

CMS that enables any designer to very easily state where they want their clients to be able to edit. And the editors; well they just surf on down to their own website (via your website if you like), view it exactly as it looks through any browser, and change precisely what they want (content-wise of course). Strangely enough, if you ask these clients, it's something they feel they should have been able to do with their own website anyway.

And because you can brand our system with your company's logo and colour schemes, and let your clients log in from your website, they will never know that you didn't spend hours and hours of your valuable time trying to make their life easier.
