Topic: Colour options on branding...?

We wanted to keep it simple and allow just the hue to be changed on the branding page. This was to put a stop to all the users who changed their header to white (or black), or some other garish colour and then complained to us that they couldn't read the text in the menus.

This works well for most brand identities, but if being able to alter the brightness and/or contrast in addition to the hue is important for you, then please let us know.

Greyscale and Hex codes could also be an option.

Re: Colour options on branding...?

Brightness and greyscale would be awesome.

Re: Colour options on branding...?

The Hex option would be great and then we can put our corporate colour in place

Re: Colour options on branding...?

Yeh we should really do this - it makes sense. It won't be straight away, but it's on the list and shouldn't take too long.

Re: Colour options on branding...?

Yes a Hex option would be really helpful.  Any chance this will be available any time soon?

Great product by the way.

Re: Colour options on branding...?

Due to popular demand we have started developing the HEX colour option. We'll post back here once it's live, in about a week.

I dont see it....has it been implemented?

Re: Colour options on branding...?

We had a little incident at 12:50 on the 22 February this year which meant a lot of our to-do list turned from things to do, into moving to another continent :)

We have decided to implement this feature in the major release which is due at the end of the year. You won't be disappointed.

Re: Colour options on branding...?

I'm also looking to get the colour to match my brand, has this feature been updated?

Re: Colour options on branding...?

The end of 2011 has come and gone!! Is there any updates on this and the other 'end of the year release' you were talking about?

Re: Colour options on branding...?

In addition to the Christchurch earthquake mentioned in my previous post, we have been spending much of our time on the new downloadable version of SimpleCMS which is looking amazing. It does mean (as you have pointed out) that we have neglected any updates to SimpleCMS you may have been expecting.

We can tell you though, that we will be launching our one-off payment, downloadable system in the coming months - after testing it to within an inch of its life!

Re: Colour options on branding...?

\Will that mean that you will no longer support SimpleCMS - the online version?

Re: Colour options on branding...?

Hi Erik, we will always support SimpleCMS both online and offline versions. We aren't abandoning anyone :)

Re: Colour options on branding...?

I'm a bit confused now, this upcoming version, is an update or a separate product?

It sounds great but I also am a bit disappointed with the failure to release on the loosely decided release date(s).

I do realize that doesn't mean you guys have been working on it but we sure are getting anxious now :)

Re: Colour options on branding...?

It's technically a separate product, Scott, but with a lot of cues taken from SimpleCMS of course. I understand your anxiousness and I can completely sympathize with it too .... if there's anyone who wants to get this thing out there as soon as possible, it's the team here, believe us! :)

Re: Colour options on branding...?

Hi, any updates on the New release?

Re: Colour options on branding...?

It's being worked on and tested to within an inch of its life :)

Incidentally, can you guys tell us (honestly!) how much you would consider paying for something like this product?

It's essentially a downloadable, yours for life, simpler and much faster version of SimpleCMS

I think that question would depend on how it works with multiple sites? Would it be a 'license' based? If so, I have seen those get awfully pricey and they aren't worth my time.

Re: Colour options on branding...?

It's one site, one license. Once you've installed it, that's it, it just works. Any ideas now?

Ps. It's not going to be that pricey ;)

Re: Colour options on branding...?

You can now brand the system by hex code instead of using the hue slider.

To enter your hex code, go to Account > Branding then click on the Advanced link and you'll see Hex code listed at the bottom.

Okay, well based on that pricing model and the monthly price I pay for simpleCMS now... I would say in order for me to use that, it would have to be around $25-30 a license. Although I have seen them considerably higher priced, at that value it may be a viable option to switch to. Although I think I would still prefer this setup as I can simplify managing all my clients sites with one login... are there any new features/etc?

Well, assuming you can put unlimited users on it (limited only by the size of the MySQL database I assume it'll use), and that you can have unlimited websites on it with unlimited admin users who in turn can set up their own sites and clients, I'd say something like that is worth. . .$250 - $350 easily, or if you go with the monthly payment model, $55/month

Just my thoughts. . .

Re: Colour options on branding...?

By the way are there any updates as of yet??

Has this been released yet, as it's been about a year now. . .

Re: Colour options on branding...?

*BUMP* :-)

Re: Colour options on branding...?

I bumped the thread since it's been 4 years. LOL. . .
